Redline Forestry serves the Fort Smith metro and surrounding communities in Sebastian, Crawford, Scott, and Logan counties. Oklahoma-based, Arkansas-ready โ same terrain, same credentials, same standard of work.
Redline Forestry is based in Bixby, Oklahoma โ near Tulsa โ and has been working the eastern Oklahoma timber and cedar country for years. Fort Smith sits right on the Oklahoma/Arkansas border, roughly three hours from our home base, and the terrain tells the same story: cedar encroachment, mixed hardwood stands, river bottomlands, and rocky ridges as you move into the mountains.
We're not strangers to this ground. Sequoyah and Le Flore counties on the Oklahoma side share the same landscape as Sebastian and Crawford counties across the state line. We've hauled equipment through this country and we understand what it takes to work it. If you have a project in the Fort Smith area โ residential lot, commercial site, utility ROW, or large acreage โ call and ask for Shep.
For large commercial projects, utility right-of-way work, and oil & gas corridor clearing, mobilization to the Fort Smith area is standard. We bring the right equipment and the right credentials for the job.
Our primary service area is Oklahoma and the surrounding region. Fort Smith is a natural extension โ same region, same terrain, same equipment. We accept projects in the Fort Smith metro and surrounding Arkansas counties regularly, and we mobilize for commercial and ROW work throughout the area.

The river valley floor around Fort Smith, Van Buren, Barling, and Alma is low-lying alluvial bottomland. Cottonwood, willow, elm, and silver maple dominate the riparian zones. These areas often require clearing for agricultural levees, access roads, and floodplain management. Soft ground conditions require tracked equipment.
South and southwest of Fort Smith โ through Greenwood, Hackett, Hartford, and into Scott County โ the terrain rises into the Ouachita Mountain foothills. Rocky, steep, and heavily timbered with oak, hickory, and cedar. This is familiar country for anyone who's worked Le Flore County, Oklahoma. Rocky outcrops increase with elevation, which affects equipment selection and clearing rates.
North and east of Fort Smith โ around Cedarville, Mountainburg, Alma, and into Crawford County โ the Boston Mountains of the Ozark Plateau rise steeply. Mixed hardwood including white oak, red oak, and hickory, with cedar encroachment on disturbed ground and old fields. Terrain grades increase significantly toward Johnson County and Clarksville. These areas require on-site assessment โ we'll tell you upfront if the terrain exceeds what we can safely operate on with current equipment.
Eastern red cedar has aggressively colonized old fields, pastures, and disturbed ground throughout the Fort Smith region โ the same pattern we see throughout eastern Oklahoma. Left unchecked, cedar closes out pastures, crowds out native hardwoods, and dries up creek drainages. Forestry mulching is the most efficient tool for cedar reclamation at scale: single-pass, no burn piles, mulch left in place to retain moisture and suppress regrowth.
We bring our full range of services to Fort Smith area projects. The same equipment and operator qualifications that handle Oklahoma utility corridors and pipeline ROW work serve Fort Smith commercial and residential clients equally well.
Single-pass clearing for any terrain type. Trees, brush, cedar, and stumps ground in place โ no burn pile, no hauling. Ideal for pasture reclamation, site prep, and wooded acreage throughout the Fort Smith region.

Not every land clearing contractor who works the Oklahoma side of the border can meet commercial safety requirements on the Arkansas side โ or in any commercial environment. Redline Forestry can. The same credentials that qualify us for Oklahoma utility, pipeline, and oil & gas work qualify us for commercial contractor pre-qualification in Arkansas.
Owner Shep is a veteran operator with a background that goes well beyond knowing how to run a mulcher. That matters when a commercial client needs a contractor who can show up to a pre-job safety meeting and pass the paperwork, not just show up with a machine.
As a former firefighter with wildland firefighting experience, Shep takes fire risk seriously. Basic firefighting equipment comes on every job site โ not as an afterthought, but as a standard operating procedure. In dry conditions in the Ouachita or Boston Mountains, that matters.
Utility companies, pipeline operators, and oil & gas firms require contractors to pre-qualify with safety credentials before stepping on a job site. Redline Forestry carries the full credential stack โ CSP, OSHA 30, SafeLand, CRM โ that commercial clients require. If you're a project manager or procurement contact in the Fort Smith area, we can meet your contractor qualification requirements.
Projects start at $1,500 for local work. Extended service area and mobilization jobs start at $2,000. All estimates are free. Forestry mulching rates vary by terrain density and access โ rockier terrain in the Ouachita and Boston Mountain counties takes longer and is priced accordingly.
