Redline Forestry is expanding commercial and agricultural land clearing services to Wichita and south-central Kansas. We mobilize for large-scale projects โ utility ROW, pipeline corridors, oil & gas site prep, and major acreage clearing. Credentialed, vetted, and ready to work.
Wichita is approximately three hours from our Bixby, Oklahoma base. We don't take that distance lightly โ and we don't hide it. Redline Forestry will mobilize to south-central Kansas for projects that justify the move: large commercial land clearing, utility right-of-way work, pipeline corridor clearing, oil & gas site preparation, and major agricultural acreage conversion.
This is not a market we pursue for small residential lots. If you're a utility company, pipeline operator, commercial developer, or large-acreage landowner in the Wichita region, Redline Forestry brings the credentials and equipment that Kansas contractor vetting programs require. Our CSP certification, OSHA 30, and SafeLand qualifications are the same credentials that get work on utility and energy projects across the region.
We have the documentation to pass ISNetworld, PEC Premier, and similar contractor management platforms. If your project requires pre-qualification, we're already there.
Eastern red cedar is a relentless invasive. It moved through Oklahoma decades ago and has been marching north ever since. The Flint Hills transition zone โ Butler, Greenwood, and Cowley counties โ is now on the front line of the cedar invasion in Kansas.
Kansas ranchers are facing the same problem Oklahoma ranchers faced fifteen years ago: pastures that were productive grassland are disappearing under a canopy of cedar. A single mature eastern red cedar can consume 40โ60 gallons of water per day. A cedar-invaded pasture is losing forage, losing water, and losing value โ acre by acre, year by year.
The demand is there. The operators who serve it are not. Most Kansas forestry mulching equipment is concentrated in the eastern timber counties. South-central Kansas โ the transition zone between tallgrass prairie and the Cross Timbers โ is underserved. Redline Forestry fills that gap for large-scale projects.
One pass with our mulching head converts cedar-choked land back to productive pasture. No burn piles, no debris removal, no erosion โ just recycled organic mulch left in place. Faster, cleaner, and more cost-effective than mechanical clearing for most terrains in south-central Kansas.
Redline Forestry's Wichita-area work targets clients with projects of significant scope. We're not looking for weekend brush jobs โ we're looking for multi-day or multi-week contracts where our mobilization cost is justified and our credentials earn us the work.
Evergy, Empire District Electric, and regional electric cooperatives require credentialed contractors for transmission and distribution ROW clearing. Our CSP and SafeLand qualifications meet those requirements.
Southern Kansas has active oil fields in Sedgwick, Butler, and Greenwood counties. Site prep, access road clearing, and well pad clearing require SafeLand-qualified operators. We have the documentation.
Kansas is major pipeline corridor country. We clear pipeline ROW, maintain corridor access, and handle initial clearing for new construction โ with the safety credentials pipeline operators require.
Large agricultural landowners in the Flint Hills and Arkansas River corridor dealing with cedar encroachment, shelterbelts, or acreage conversion. Minimum 100+ acres for mobilization to this area.
Commercial and industrial development in the Wichita metro, Derby, Andover, and El Dorado corridors. Large-acreage site preparation for projects that need professional execution.
County road departments, municipalities, and state agencies with significant ROW or land management contracts. We meet standard government contractor vetting requirements.
South-central Kansas offers some of the most equipment-friendly terrain in the region for forestry mulching. The transition from tallgrass prairie to Cross Timbers is largely flat to gently rolling โ far less challenging than the Ouachita Mountains of southeastern Oklahoma or the rocky Ozark terrain of northeastern Oklahoma.
That said, terrain in this region is not uniform. Site assessment is standard before any project:
For Wichita-area projects, Redline Forestry will conduct a pre-mobilization site assessment โ either in person for large contracts or via aerial/satellite imagery review โ before finalizing scope and pricing. This protects your project and ours.
For large commercial, agricultural, or ROW projects, Redline Forestry serves the following cities and counties in south-central Kansas. Project size and scope determine mobilization feasibility โ contact us to discuss your specific project.
Not seeing your location? Contact us โ for the right project scope, we'll discuss mobilization to your site.
We believe in straight talk. Wichita is a mobilization market for Redline Forestry โ a three-hour haul from Bixby with equipment means we need the project to be worth the move for both parties.
Our standard minimum in Oklahoma is $1,500 โ $2,000 for most jobs. For Wichita-area projects, the realistic minimum is significantly higher. We're looking for:
If your project is significant in scope, we want to talk. If you're not sure whether your project qualifies, contact us โ we'd rather answer the question now than have you wonder.
